Nursing Services:
Our philosophy is to be in the forefront of the geriatric nursing profession. We value a holistic approach to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the resident, providing care in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. We are proud of our longevity record and it proves that our approach, not only meets but exceeds the highest expectations for nursing care. More than 200 nursing staff members work in shifts to provide around the clock care and service.
Physical Therapy:
Our Physical Therapy staff members provide our residents ways to maintain strength and physical well-being. Treatments are designed to suit individual needs.
Environmental Services:
The Environmental Services department is here to ensure your comfort. Housekeeping, laundry and other basic needs are serviced through this department. They can also provide you with such items as tables and chairs if you are planning a party or event here at NLHV.
Food Services:
From menu planning to the food they serve, the Food Services department provides a healthy variety of meals which meet dietary needs.. Dietary restrictions and other needs are met through careful preparation and by working with our in-house physicians, residents and their families.
Maintenance Services:
Is your room too hot, too cold, or just right? Is the light too bright or too dim? Our Maintenance Services department is here to ensure that your room is as comfortable as possible. Along with maintaining the interior and exterior of the main building and ILP units, the Maintenance Services department also maintains the safety of the exterior surroundings.
Spiritual Care:
We believe that the spirit of NLHV comes from the joy that God brings and His spirit radiates throughout the Home. Two chaplains, one full-time and one part-time, are here seven days a week to offer prayer, friendship, guidance and to help residents and families cope with issues of daily living. On-site religious services are held in our chapel several days a week along with special holiday and holiday day services.
Resident Activity Services:
Activity is vital to a long and fulfilled life. Our Resident Activity Services provide daily activities, field trips and other events that will enhance the lives of our residents. Volunteers provide the extra support that our residents and staff need. Volunteers are always needed and always welcome.
Social Services:
The caring staff of the social services department strives to uphold the value of human life and the dignity of each resident. A team approach enables the social service support staff to provide assistance to residents and families during the transition and adjustment period. Throughout the resident's stay at NLHV the staff provides support and coordinates quarterly care plan meetings. The interdisciplinary care plan meetings allow family and resident representatives the opportunity to engage with the Chaplain, nursing, social services, physical therapy, activities and dietary staff. The plan of care is specifically designed for each resident and reviewed on a quarterly basis. This allows the staff to ensure that residents' pychosocial, emotional, medical and spiritual needs are met. Counseling for advance directives and end of life decisions is available to residents and their families.

Admissions Team – working to provide quick and easy admissions to our Health Care Facility and to make the transition as comforting as possible.
Executive Office – here to ensure our residents will continue calling us Home.
Business Office – we can answer your questions about a bill, help you to pay your bill, and provide banking services to our residents.
Development Office – helping you help us. Your financial contributions can be made here. Questions regarding Annuities and Planned Giving are also answered here.
Independent Living Program – the ILP manager will answer your questions, help you with the admissions process and other ILP needs.
Human Resources – looking for a new career, want to know what positions are currently available, this is the team to call.
Marketing – Providing communications, public relations, promotions and special events support for the organization.
